We have taken around 60,000+ sqm within Chennai Port premises on lease, that consists of both developed and undeveloped areas. We focus on storing cargoes safely and securely, in an organized way to track where items are located, when they arrived, how long they have been there, and the quantity on hand.
Our key responsibilities include:
- Forecasting and managing projected volume and labor
- Choosing right warehouse type based on cargo requirements
- Keeping goods secure and contamination-free and performing warehouse audits as needed
- Ensuring proper safety gear is used and best safety practices are followed at all times
- Obtaining proper licenses and certifications for anyone operating equipment
- Continuously planning and managing operations
- Providing clear instructions on how to receive, store, maintain and discharge inbound and outbound shipments
We have been time and again recognized and appreciated for our efforts in handling sensitive cargoes like Silica Sand used for glass manufacturing. We have ensured ZERO contamination of such cargoes during storage.
Container Stuffing, Destuffing and Cross Docking
Container stuffing and destuffing are both important processes in the shipping industry and, if not done properly, can result in damaged goods and inefficient operations.
During container stuffing we ensure that proper planning is done in terms of weight distribution, space utilization and cargo variation and compatibility. We deliver stuffed containers to designated terminals as required.
Similarly, our experienced team strives to make the destuffing process as seamless and speedy as possible. We ensure proper categorization of cargo and subsequent warehousing followed by standardization (bagging or re-bagging) as per client needs before delivering to their final destinations. We also have capacity to provide cross docking where goods are checked and delivered to client destination. Empty containers are further returned to relevant stakeholders.
At all times, our primary focus is the safety of the cargo. We make certain that best safety practises are followed always.
We have been handling varied types of cargoes like cement and fertilizer bags amongst others under this category. On an average, we handle over 200 containers per month.
